The coolant provided to the engine of a vehicle is a water-based chemical that is circulated inside the engine block to extract the heat from the engine.
The coolant flows through the engine block absorbing the heat into the radiator where it releases the heat to the atmosphere by convection.
Oil Filter Facts:
Coolant levels need to be checked regularly as lower levels of coolant may cause engine overheat.
This may further cause decrease in engine efficiency and engine seizure.
The required amount of coolant is topped up into the system with water. Sometimes the complete coolant is flushed clean and filled with fresh mixture.
